From the Author

Hi, my name is Jenna!  Welcome and thanks for visiting!

I am very excited to be embarking on a new journey.  I recently published a book titled, Giving Back: Lessons from an adopted immigrant on why a happy life is about helping others.  It takes you on a journey about life, learning, and giving back to the world.  I have a background in economics and public health, but I don’t want to be known for my educational background.  I hope my passion and love of people all around the world shines through me.  Kindness and giving are precisely the meaning of life.  I hope to inspire and motivate you to help me spread kindness.

Here are a few more things about me.  I can’t get enough of the outdoors and enjoy winter more than summer.  I love hiking and visiting the local wineries.  I love snow whether I am watching it fall or building a snowman.  I like visiting the mountains rather than the beach.  I could easily eat breakfast for every meal.  It’s a meal that I never miss in the morning and enjoy eating at night, too!  Oh, and I love ice cream (since having a gluten allergy)!  I have a soft spot for chick flicks, but love a great drama or action movie as well.  I adore my pajamas and my ideal clothing would be jeans and a t-shirt.  I hate shopping, don’t want more stuff, and prefer sentimental gifts to material things.  More than anything, like most people in life, I find that the best times are the ones shared doing little things, big things, or just doing nothing with my friends and family.

My mom has devoted her life to helping others.  I can’t think of a better person to inspire me.  I may not be able to fill her shoes, but I will live every day trying to be as kind, compassionate, respectful, tolerant, giving, and empathetic as she is.
